Description

Ichtamol paste contains ichthammol (1.5%) and Dermosoft® decalact liquid MB, a unique antimicrobial substance derived from natural sources. This formula is specifically intended for the care of skin prone to facial dermatoses, including redness and irritation. Furthermore, the paste is safe for use on newborns, children, and adults. Please note that the product has a characteristic brown colour and a distinct odour, which are natural properties of ichthammol and are not harmful.

Warning for people allergic to parabens a lanolin – does not contain parabens and lanolin.

How Ichtamol Paste Works

The paste is designed to soothe reddened or irritated skin effectively. It supports the skin’s balance and is particularly useful for long-term care due to its gentle profile. Because it does not contain parabens or lanolin, it is also a suitable choice for individuals with these specific allergies.

Key Ingredients and Their Functions

To ensure the best care, we have selected ingredients traditionally known for their beneficial properties in dermatology:

• Ichthammol (1.5%): Traditionally used to care for skin prone to eczema, seborrheic conditions, and acne-like symptoms. It is known for its anti-itching and soothing properties without the risks associated with coal tar.

• Dermosoft® decalact liquid MB: A multifunctional active ingredient with antimicrobial properties. It is highly effective in maintaining a healthy skin environment by reducing the presence of unwanted microorganisms.

• Zinc Oxide: Provides a mild protective layer that helps cool and soothe sensitive areas.

How to use Ichtamol paste

First, ensure the skin is carefully cleansed and dry. For best results, use a medicinal wash without sodium lauryl sulfate (such as Cutosan®). Subsequently, apply a thin, even layer 2–3 times per day over the affected area. It is possible to use the product on newborns. A mild drying out of the treated areas is part of the effects. Therefore, we recommend to combine it with regular treatment of a soothing emollient (for example, Calcis^®).

Warning:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use on burned and damaged skin. Do not use in case of an allergy or hyper-sensitivity to any one of the product’s ingredients.

Storage and Transportation Conditions:
Store at a temperature from 5 to 25 °C, keep out of the reach of children, keep in its original package. Do not use the product after the expiration date, which is stated on the box and on the tube.
